All Club Members are warmly invited to join in this Club Sailing Day.
These days provide the opportunity for members to get together for a day’s social cruising in company, and this year we are looking to incorporate skipper skills refreshers as part of the trip.
We will take a trip to Felixstowe Ferry, providing the opportunity to navigate in and out of the mouth of the River Deben. Lots has been written about this entrance, and while it is not to be treated lightly, with careful planning and pilotage it is readily achievable. We’ll pick up a mooring / raft up for lunch before heading back to Shotley.
Places will be found with volunteer skippers for non-boat owners and Crew Pool wanting to participate. Please note, as spaces may be limited, allocation of places will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
We will meet at 09:30 at Shotley and expect to be tidied away by 17:00. Further information and final details will be provided a few days before.
