Membership

We warmly welcome boat owners and non-boat owners.

Membership covers a family and includes children and grandchildren who are under 18 years of age at the start of the year.

Joining Membership: £67 for the first year, which includes an SPYC pennant. (£52 if a pennant is not required)

Renewing Membership: £52 pa

Benefits of Membership

All types of boats welcome, and they don’t need to be berthed at Shotley Marina!
Our annual programme of over 40 events includes, training, cruising, fun challenges and social functions in a family friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Event organisers arrange activities, book berths (club rates), arrange meals and host the event.
Access to our Crew Pool Scheme for all members who are looking for crew, or who wish to sail as crew (Read more about the Crew Pool Scheme here)
Receive our club magazine, The Crow’s Nest.
Club office with resources including, office, RYA affiliation (advice, support, information and representation)
Equipment and tools for loan, eg children’s lifejackets, rig tension gauge.
Help with work on your boat – just ask.
Sailing in company provides confidence and leadership for the less experienced.
