Walton Backwaters Cruise

Phill and Sheila Barnes invite you to join them on an epic voyage to Explore the Walton Backwaters, taking in the sights of Pye End buoy, the Stone Point dog-leg, and the Walton Channel moorings en-route.

We anchor up in Hamford Water on the 29th. Here you can do a spot of fishing, swimming or jump in the tender and go seal watching. All in the beautiful Walton Backwaters (as featured in Arthur Ransome’s “Secret Water”)

Next day, 30th, it’s a short hope around toTitchmarsh, a lovely, peaceful marina which has always been a SPYC favourite. Drinks and Nibbles will be served in the barbecue area on Saturday evening, followed by a DIY barbecue. Bring your own portable barbecue and food if you wish, or eat at the Harbour Lights Restaurant on site. There are also many eating places in Walton on the Naze, and of course you can dine on board if you prefer.

This is another ‘dip in and out of’ event so don’t feel you have to do both parts.
