All members are invited to join this Club Cruising Day, when we will be cruising to the Walton Backwaters to explore this peaceful area on our doorstep.
HW Walton-on-the-Naze is 1240 BST, so gives us plenty of time to cruise in the Backwaters, anchor and have lunch, before leaving to either return directly to Shotley or take a longer route home.
The outline plan is to leave Shotley at 1000, arrive Hamford Water ~1200, and depart ~1400.
A quick briefing will be held at 09:30. Boats are anticipated to be back and tidied away by 16:30.
Club Cruising Days provide an opportunity for ALL members – boat owners and non-boat owning members of Crew Pool – to get out on the water for social day sails and cruising in company. These are separate from the programme of longer cruises and the aim is to involve as many members as possible in Club sailing.
Everyone is invited to take part and our team of Volunteer Skippers will take out non-boat owning members of the Crew Pool Scheme. Please Note: there is no obligation for boat-owning members to take anyone other than their regular crew, although additional help is always welcome.
